Edward Higuera, P.E.
Ed, in his role as COO, leads Wolverine’s multi-disciplined technical team charged with evaluating and developing the company’s assets and directing new ventures and acquisitions. He earned a degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University in 1985.
Beginning his career with Conoco, Inc. in Oklahoma City, Ed worked in production and operations roles, gaining experience in production engineering, stimulation, remedial workovers, reservoir engineering, artificial lift, operational supervision, and facility projects. He later joined an engineering consulting company based in Grand Rapids; eventually leading a practice group and serving on the Board of Directors of this 100 member firm. His responsibilities included engineering, business development, regulatory negotiations, staffing, and project management on behalf of a range of industrial and government clients, including oil and gas companies.
Ed has been with Wolverine since 2004, when he joined as Manager of Development, overseeing the company’s engineering and operations, and to help develop its new Utah discovery. He is a registered Professional Engineer and member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
